So, what happens during a CoolSculpting treatment? You may be surprised by how simple it is. Once you arrive at Radiance Medspa, we bring you to your own private treatment room. Be sure to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, especially around the area you’re treating. Your provider applies the CoolSculpting applicator to your desired treatment area. Depending on the type of applicator used, you may experience a sensation of suction as the bulge you’re treating is gathered into the applicator. Once the applicator is secure, the cooling process begins.
You’ll feel an intense sensation of cold for a few minutes before the area goes numb, which is normal. The CoolSculpting device needs to work for about 45 minutes. This is your time, which you can use as you like. Relax, browse the web, or read a book or magazine. After your treatment, we massage your treated area to loosen the frozen fat, and then off you go! You’re free to get back to your regular activities as soon as you’d like. Many patients report lingering redness or soreness similar to what they’d feel after a hard workout. These symptoms can last for a couple of days, but usually won’t interfere with your normal activities. As the weeks progress, you’ll see your treated area begin to shrink as your body processes the targeted fat cells.
