CoolSculpting Gets FDA Approval for Use on the Back, Bra Bulge and Under-Buttock Area

Original Article by Tatiana Bido. Great news for those fighting the battle of the bra bulge, back fat and the under-butt fat that is sometimes referred to as the banana roll. CoolSculpting, the noninvasive procedure used to eliminate unwanted fat in targeted areas like the abdomen, love handles, thighs and double chin, has now been approved by the FDA to reduce fat around the bra straps, on Muffin Top, on the back and underneath the buttocks.

The fat freezing method, which was first approved for use by the FDA in 2014, has been proven to be effective in permanently destroying fat cells in areas of the body that have been resistant to diet and exercise. Mark Foley, president and chief executive officer of Zeltiq, said in the company’s press release, “Our recently expanded clearance by the FDA further validates the clinical utility of our technology and further expands our leadership position in the noninvasive fat reduction space.”

According to Liposuction Richmond VA, with the announcement that the FDA has given their stamp of approval for its use on other stubborn areas around the back and under the buttocks, the already popular procedure is sure to become and legitimate option for those who are seeking a safe, noninvasive alternative to liposuction to address the stubborn fat on the back and under the buttocks. The timing of this news couldn’t be better, just in time for summer when those bra and butt bulges are prominently on display during swimsuit season.
